App Backend Features Overview

1. Back4App Integration

Back4App serves as our primary database and backend service. All data collected from the app is securely stored and managed using Back4App’s infrastructure. However, using Back4App is not mandatory. We use it due to personal preference, but there are alternative solutions that support Parse Server:

• DigitalOcean: Deploy your own VPS and install Parse Server for full control and customization.
• Sashido: A managed Parse Server platform with similar features to Back4App.
• Parse Platform: The open-source Parse Server project for self-hosted backend solutions.

Here are the key functionalities implemented with Back4App:

• Data Storage: All user-related data, posts, messages, and other content are saved in Back4App.
• Cloud Code Functions: Custom business logic is implemented using Cloud Code, allowing us to:
  • Send push notifications using the OneSignal API integration.
  • Handle follow/unfollow actions between users.
  • Process gift transactions where gifts sent by one user are credited to the recipient.
• Live Query: Real-time messaging is enabled using Live Query, leveraging WebSocket technology for instant updates.
• User Roles Management: Admin and agent roles are assigned directly in the “User” class by setting the “role” column to “admin” or “agent,” respectively.

2. PHP Admin Panel

The PHP-based admin panel provides comprehensive control and monitoring tools for managing the app. Only users with the “admin” role can log in. The available features include:

• Gift Management: Add and manage virtual gifts available to users.
• User Avatar Management: Upload and configure avatars for user profiles.
• Entrance Effects: Manage special entrance effects for user profiles.
• User Monitoring: View and manage user profiles
• Post and Comment Moderation: Review and manage user-generated posts and comments.
• Live Stream Monitoring: Monitor live streams
• Reports and Feedback: Review reports submitted by users about inappropriate content or behavior.
• Withdrawal Requests: Manage user requests for withdrawing earnings or virtual currency.
